Céilidh! Celtic Arts Festival will take place at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center on January 19, 2013.

All net proceeds from Céilidh! will benefit the production of King Island Christmas in collaboration with the Alaska Youth Choir in Edinburgh, Scotland at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2013. 

The morning Celtic Arts Academy (all ages) will be devoted to workshops and introductory classes on a wide range of Celtic arts ranging from bagpipes, dancing, and drumming to Gaelic language, Scottish ale-making and whisky lore. 

The afternoon Celtic Music Fest (all ages) will be filled with performances, including Guest Artists Jori Chisholm from the world famous Simon Fraser University Pipe Band and Irish balladeer Philip M.Price, as well as local artists City of Juneau Pipe Band, Fire on McGinnis, the New Family, Liquid Genius and more! Come enjoy great Celtic music, dancing, and food and beverage vendors! 

The afternoon will also feature an intimate house céilidh, with traditional dancing hosted by caller Tom Paul. 

At the evening Whisky and Beer Tasting (21+), sample an array of fine whiskys, celtic brews, and delicious hors d'oeuvres while the lilt of ancient celtic music transports you to ancient times and places.
